Last fall, the Erie SeaWolves saw one of their most successful seasons in league history come to a close. The following months however saw Walbeck, who was expected to return for a second season, traded to the Texas Rangers; the team acclimating themselves with newly appointed manager Tom Brookens; and the release of the Mitchell Report leaving baseball enthusiasts questioning the practices and integrity of the sport. Now ready for their 2008 season, this 13 year Erie institution is not letting any skeptics get in the way for what could be one of their most important seasons ever.
