This was the picture that started it all. Two years ago I put on a red dress, sat down in my favorite place in Erie – the Erie Club – and posed for my first publisher's page. I wore that dress to honor my incredible grandmother and to celebrate my excitement over a dream coming true: my vision of a great magazine that would celebrate everything that is fabulous and exciting about our region. I can tell you it has been a wild and crazy ride since then.  Filled with drama, challenges, and sometimes flat-out angst.  It wasn’t easy and like any good fairy tale, it had a few dragons, including battling a media monopoly with millions of dollars at their fingertips, who made it known they were out to “destroy” us. But despite their vehement and often frighteningly aggressive tactics to put us out of business (reducing the cost of their space ads by half, telling our customers we sell our editorial and we were going bankrupt…that sort of thing), Erie Life grew and prospered.  How?  Our readers…
